Unit 9

UNIT 9 is the story of Marie Lamontagne, a widowed mother of two in her late 40s who faces a critical choice. Should she admit to the police that her daughter Lea stabbed her grandfather to stop his sexual advances? Or should she protect her by saying that she committed the crime? UNIT 9 is about a devoted mother and what she will do to protect her daughter. Marie Lamontagne takes the hit and is sent to prison for the crime. Thrust into brutally unfamiliar and hostile surroundings, she first learns survival, then confronts the biggest challenge of her life: bonding with her fellow inmates and helping them take back control of their lives.
