Blissed

A brand-new audacious and sometimes dark satire comedy. Francois Plante, a French high school teacher, at wit’s end, decides to leave everything behind and buy a farmhouse in the countryside. Pursuing the objective of finding peace, happiness, and serenity of building a dream life there. Our man and his family will pack their city life to fulfill a fantasy which inhabits many, but which few dare to realize. Will reality be as blissful as he hoped for?

He cherishes the dream to write his famous novel, raise chickens and goats, make his cheese, lead a free and peaceful existence, organic, ecological, and in sync with the rhythm of the seasons, but his promise of happiness will not be easy when several unforeseen events will surface.

He is unfortunately fooled by his real estate agent who brilliantly hides many quirks about the farm he Is buying. His mother-inlaw will have to finance his dream and will feel entitled to the property and call it her cottage. She always brings along her new and younger boyfriend Joce who proudly believes in conspiracy theories and ‘‘informs’’ the public through his social media. His high school colleagues envy him, and he will pretend that everything is rosy in the country.
