A brilliant cast around Magalie Lepine-Blondeau in Sans Rendez-vous (Walk-In)
Montreal, Tuesday, June 1, 2021 - Magalie Lépine-Blondeau stars in Sans rendez-vous (Walk-In), an edgy comedy by Marie-Andrée Labbé, directed by Patrice Ouimet and produced by Fabienne Larouche and Michel Trudeau for Aetios Productions. It will be premiering on ICI TOU.TV EXTRA in 2021-2022. Magalie Lépine Blondeau will be joined by Stéphane Rousseau, Rachid Badouri, Mylène Mackay, Isabelle Vincent, Mikhaïl Ahooja, Fabiola Nyrva Aladin, Rachel Graton, Stéphane Crête, Luc Guérin, Marie-Ève Beaulieu, and Joëlle Paré-Beaulieu.
Sarah (Magalie Lépine-Blondeau) is a sex therapist nurse in her early thirties who returns to the sexual health clinic after a three-month leave. In the midst of an existential crisis and feeling trapped in an unhappy relationship, Sarah finds her colleagues, each as dysfunctional as they are endearing.
The clinic's employees are, in a way, sex superheroes capable of solving the problems of ordinary mortals at this level; but they are also often less able to deal with their own issues and personal lives. The clinic's patients, sometimes adorable, sometimes annoying, and sometimes completely bizarre, remind us that an STI doesn't discriminate before taking up residence. Rich or poor, from one culture or another, beautiful or ugly, sex worker or involuntarily celibate, when it comes to herpes, we are all equal.
Sans rendez-vous (Walk-In) is a scathing comedy that unapologetically addresses seemingly taboo but important topics (sexual and gender diversity, unusual sexual practices, STIs, contraception, sexual dysfunction, sex work, sexual health in couples, etc.), and handles them with sensitivity and humanity. The main characters, though flamboyant and colorful, all experience challenges and suffering intrinsic to our modern society. They unite through work and help each other overcome challenges, both small and large.
