Never-before-seen on the Platform's History

Two days after its arrival on Club illico, Blue Moon reaches 100,000 views!

Montreal, January 28, 2016 - Available since January 25, the new original series Blue Moon, produced by Fabienne Larouche and Michel Trudeau of Aetios Productions, reached the unprecedented peak of 100,000 views in less than 48 hours. This is a first in the history of Club illico, as never before has a title, across all content categories, reached this peak so quickly.

Proven Results

"The first series of its kind in Quebec, Blue Moon was produced specifically to meet our customers' growing demand for binge-watching. "It's clear that the challenge was met, and our subscribers discovered a series that fully met their thirst for quality content. These results, unprecedented for us, combined with the highly rave reviews from the industry, demonstrate that we're making the right choices when it comes to content and that we have nothing to envy from the biggest American productions," said Marie Ginette Lepage, Vice President of Marketing, Cable Distribution and Content Operations at Videotron.

The 10 episodes, written by Luc Dionne and directed by Yves-Christian Fournier, star Karine Vanasse and a remarkable cast including Luc Picard, Patrice Godin, Éric Bruneau, and Caroline Dhavernas. This bold and unique thriller has been available in its entirety and exclusively since Monday to some 250,000 Club illico subscribers. The plot of Blue Moon revolves around the character of Justine Laurier (Karine Vanasse), an army bomb specialist and everything related to explosions. While participating in a Canadian Army mission in Ukraine, Justine learns of the accidental death of her father, who left her his company, Blue Moon, a private security firm that carries out numerous mandates for government agencies. While the company is growing rapidly, Justine's life takes an unexpected and very dangerous turn. In her search for the truth, she learns that her father's death hides dark secrets.
