AETIOS Production Inc. and its subsidiaries ("AETIOS", "we", "us", "our") is committed to taking the necessary measures to comply with the principles and requirements of privacy and the protection of personal information under applicable privacy legislation. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to the services offered by AETIOS under the domain https://aetiosproductions.com and the subdomains associated to it (the "Site"), as well as any other service or activity offered by AETIOS whose terms refer to this policy. 

Your privacy is our primary concern. Our goal is to ensure the confidentiality and security of the personal information you provide to us and to protect this information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. This Policy explains our privacy and security practices. In this Policy, personal information means information that can identify an individual, directly or indirectly.  

By continuing to browse our Site, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in the Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use our Site. 

Personal information collected and purposes

In the course of our business, we may collect personal information from you. We only collect personal information that is necessary to provide you with our various services. Wherever possible, we indicate both mandatory and optional fields. 

We collect personal information about you:

  • When you contact us (by e-mail, telephone, mail, through our social media, through our contact form or in person), we may collect your name, e-mail address, address and telephone number. This information enables us to provide the information or services you have requested and to communicate with you regarding your request;

  • When you participate in a contest or promotional activity, we collect the information necessary to process your participation in the contest or activity including your name, e-mail address, telephone number and any other material that you submitted as part of the contest or activity (for example, written material, video or image). 

  • If you apply for a position on one of our productions, we will collect your name, e-mail address and any other information you provide, including your employment history. We use this information to evaluate and respond to your application.

  • When you visit our Site, we automatically collect information through cookies. Cookies are pieces of information sent to your computer or other similar device you use to access the internet, for example a smartphone, tablet or other mobile device, when you visit a website, which store and sometimes track information about your use of the site. Generally, personal information about you will be collected directly from you. However, we may collect personal information from third parties, to the extent permitted by law. 

We may also collect personal information in order to comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, or for other purposes permitted by law. We do not collect personal information for other purposes, except with the consent of the individual concerned.

How is your personal information used or disclosed?

We use or disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes listed above. In some cases, we may share personal information with third-party service providers performing functions on our behalf, including performance venues, providers of IT services, data hosting services, analytical or marketing services, and booking services for certain contests. 

We may also disclose your information as part of a business transaction, in connection with the proposed or actual financing, securitization, insuring, sale, assignment or other disposition in whole or in part of AETIOS, or its business or assets, for the purposes of evaluating and/or executing the proposed transaction. Assignees or successors of AETIOS, or its business or assets, may use and disclose your personal information for purposes similar to those described in this Policy.

Finally, your information may be disclosed as necessary to satisfy legal, regulatory, or other insurance, audit and security requirements, and otherwise with your consent, or as permitted or required by law (including as required by Canadian and foreign laws applicable to us or our service providers).  

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. Your personal information may be communicated without your consent only as permitted or required by law

Security and retention of your personal information

We will maintain the confidentiality of your information and it will only be used in accordance with this Policy or applicable laws. Our internal practices help protect your privacy by limiting employee access to and use of personal data to only those whose work duties require it. 

We have also implemented reasonable security measures to protect against theft, loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. 

The protection of personal information is particularly important to us, and we are prepared to take appropriate and timely measures in the event of an incident involving it, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected, subject to any longer retention period required by applicable law or for legitimate legal or commercial purposes as permitted by law. When your personal information is no longer required, we destroy or anonymize your personal information in order to use it for future purposes, in accordance with applicable laws. 

Hosting and transfer of personal information

We will store personal information on our internal servers or with service providers. Personal information collected about you may be stored and/or processed outside the Quebec province. Our service providers may store and process personal information outside Quebec and Canada. When information is stored or processed outside your jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of, and accessible by, legal authorities in those other jurisdictions. We ensure that our service providers comply with all applicable privacy laws, and implement contractual clauses imposing obligations on them. Third-party websites

Our Site may contain links to other third-party websites that may collect personal information. This policy does not include the privacy practices (or lack thereof) of such third parties. We cannot and will not assume responsibility for the policies, practices and actions of such third parties.

What are your rights in relation with your personal information?

You have the right to know, access and obtain a copy of your personal information collected by us, as well as the right to correct it, under the conditions provided by law. To have access to or to have your personal information corrected, we invite you to contact our Privacy Officer using the contact information provided at the end of this Policy. 

In some cases, applicable law may require us to refuse to provide you with access to some or all of the personal information we hold about you, or which we may have destroyed, erased or made anonymous in accordance with our legal obligations to retain records and best practices for the protection of personal information. If we are unable to provide you with access to your personal information, we will inform you of the reasons, subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.

You may also refuse or withdraw your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information, or request the deletion of the personal information we hold about you, at any time upon reasonable notice, subject to any legal or contractual requirements. However, if consent is refused or withdrawn, we may not be able to provide certain services or to fulfill certain other obligations we may have towards you, as applicable. We will explain the consequences of deleting your information or withdrawing your consent once we have received your request in order to assist you in your decision. 

Effective date and modification

This Policy, as amended from time to time, has been adopted by AETIOS as of the last update date indicated above. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time, in which case we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, including by posting the revised Policy on our Site. Your continued provision of personal information or use of our Site following any changes to this Policy constitute your acceptance of such changes.
